About Me

I come from a family of Western Nebraska educators, so I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a teacher and a coach. I love reading, writing, and sports and I am passionate about helping students find value in these activities. Outside of school, I spend time with family and friends, I enjoy listening to podcasts, and I cheer on my two favorite teams— Husker Volleyball and the Denver Nuggets. 

Philosophy of Education

Learning is about the journey, not the destination. I believe in meeting students where they are and helping them progress toward goals, the ultimate of which is an appreciation for a life of learning. To accomplish this, I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for students in which they can explore what it means to be a reader and a writer.
